Leica 35mm f2 Summicron (Type I, Goggles) (8-Element) (Silver, SAMWO / 11108) - Lens
Manual focus wide normal lens made for M-mount rangefinder cameras introduced by Leica in 1958. This was the first version of the 35mm Summicron that Leica released for use with the M3. It comes with accessory goggles to make the viewfinder accommodate 35mm frame lines. This version has an 8-element optical formula and is often referred to as the "v1 8-element" Summicron. It was initially named SAWOO-MW but later changed to SAMWO. It is occasionally seen with a factory-fitted screw-to-bayonet adapter, indicating that the lens was initially built upon the chassis of the LTM M39 mount version (SAWO / 11008). Metal body available in silver (11108).
